Three siloed products into one AI-ready platform

I set the 0-to-1 vision and roadmap to bring Practice Management, Data Collection and Scheduling into one platform with one login and one source of truth. The migration is underway, with a projected $15K a month in operating savings.

Complete

unified experience design

The problem

Practice Management, Data Collection and Scheduling ran as separate modules. Users needed separate logins and met an inconsistent experience in each one, and the data was fragmented and duplicated across them. That blocked any all-in-one workflow and made platform-wide AI features impractical.

My role

I own the product vision, personas, workflows, and the role and subscription model. Engineering owns the re-architecture, data-model consolidation and AI-enabling technical decisions, and I guide the technical choices that shape the product.

What I did

  • Defined single-product access that adapts to each user's role and subscription.
  • Proposed one master module as the source of truth for platform-wide data, with local edits limited to fields that belong to a single module.
  • Aligned three product lines on one shared user-experience layer.
  • Led the re-architecture plan for data lineage and cross-module data availability.
  • Guided technical choices that shape the AI features, including Markdown versus HTML content, caching strategy and dynamic model selection.

The hard call

I centralized the data, standardized the experience and data contracts, and limited how far each module can customize. That meant refactoring legacy code and slowing short-term feature work, and it gives the platform the coherent data that AI features need.

Status

The unified experience design is complete. The data-layer re-architecture for shared masters, data lineage and cross-module availability is underway, to support single-login scheduling, therapy data collection and billing. Adoption and savings will be measured after launch.
